LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNICATIONS ACADEMY
LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNICATION ACADEMY
The Leadership and Communication Academy is a distinguished institution that focuses its attention on developing transformational leaders and effective communicators. In recognizing a deficit in the representation of the Elsa Leo-Rhynie Hall in premier leadership positions at the UWI, an objective of the Academy is to mobilize, motivate, equip and prepare its members to serve the Elsa Leo-Rhynie Hall and the University of the West Indies in essential leadership areas.
In general, the Academy aims as positively enhancing the leadership and communication skills of its members. Members are encouraged to be positive role models who exhibit the quintessential qualities that are at the core of the wider Hall. Members are trained to be catalysts for change and advocates for social justice for all.
Vision
The vision of the Leadership and Communication Academy is to develop younger Towerites into visionary, responsible, and civic-minded leaders who contribute positively to their pack, the distinguished family of the University of the West Indies and Jamaica at large.
Mission
The purpose of the Leadership and Communication Academy is to gather likeminded individuals with leadership aspirations to engage in activities that develop their ethical behaviour, build an inclusive community, demonstrate social responsibility and inspire a commitment to excellence. The L&C Academy will
